Oselvarverkstaden is a boatyard in the centre of Osøyro where traditional Oselvar boats are still built by hand. The Oselvar is a clinker-built rowing and sailing boat with roots going back over a thousand years in the Os area.

The workshop opened in 1997 and is the only place in Norway where Oselvar boats are still constructed. The tradition has been recognised by UNESCO, listed both on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (as part of Nordic clinker boat traditions) and as a Good Conservation Practice.

Visitors can walk in and watch the craftsmen work. The workshop sits along the Oselva river in Osøyro, easy to find if you are passing through. It is a quiet, working boatyard, not a polished tourist experience, which is part of the appeal.
