Steinstøberget is another National Tourist Route rest area, this one built on two levels directly beside the fjord.
From here you have views across the Hardangerfjord to the Folgefonna glacier on the opposite shore. On clear days the glacier is quite prominent against the sky.
The upper level has the toilet building and picnic seating. The lower level goes right down to the water's edge, where there are more benches and space for fishing. Some visitors bring barbecues.
The facilities are wheelchair accessible and open year-round.
