The Setesdalsmuseet at Rysstad is the main venue of a museum network spanning 13 sites and 67 historic buildings across the valley. The permanent exhibition focuses on Setesdal's distinctive folk traditions: costumes, silverwork, Hardanger fiddle music, and daily life in one of Norway's most isolated valleys. Mannequin tableaux illustrate christenings, confirmations, and weddings. The exhibition Løyni explores how material and immaterial heritage intertwine. Open year-round.
