Nordeide is a small settlement on the north side of the Sognefjorden in Høyanger municipality. It has been a steamship stop since 1908, and today it is part of the car ferry route that connects the north shore to Måren and Ortnevik on the south side. For most travellers, Nordeide is a place to catch or leave a ferry, but it is also a junction where the road along the fjord meets the route south across the water.
