Mørkgonga is a dramatic rock formation above Tyrifjord, just an hour from Oslo. It's basically a trench carved into a cliff face. The hike here is brutally steep - we're talking 33% gradient through loose stones and slippery terrain. This is way harder than Preikestolen or Besseggen.

Unfortunately the small parking at Åsaveien fills up quickly on weekends. You need to arrive before half past ten or after three. From Mørkgonga you can continue to Gyrihaugen for incredible views over the entire Ringerike region. Allow six hours total for this demanding hike.
