The Månen viewpoint sits 183 metres above Rosfjorden, offering a panoramic outlook over the fjord, the coastline and the open sea beyond. The name means "The Moon" in Norwegian.
The hike is about 2.5 hours round trip. Along the trail, large glacial boulders have been given individual names by locals over the centuries. The path is moderately steep in places but well-marked.
The hike starts at Sørlandsbadet, where there is good parking. From the car park, follow the walkway to Skomrak, where the marked trail begins its climb. An alternative start is from the Åvitsland side, with a smaller parking area at the junction toward Åvitsland. The round trip is roughly 4.6 km with about 200 m of ascent.
