The Ibsenmuseet in Grimstad preserves the pharmacy where the teenage Henrik Ibsen worked as an apprentice from 1843 to 1850, and the small room upstairs where he wrote his first play, Catilina. It is Norway's oldest author museum and offers an intimate look at the years that shaped one of the world's most influential playwrights. The building is small; a visit takes well under an hour.
