Feigumfossen

Feigumfossen is the second highest unregulated single-drop waterfall in Norway at 218 metres, after Vettisfossen. It is located on the eastern shore of the Lustrafjord, a few kilometres north of Ornes.

Unlike Vettisfossen, which requires a full day's hike, Feigumfossen is much more accessible. The path from the road is about one kilometre, and the round trip takes roughly an hour. The road along this stretch of the Lustrafjord is narrow, with typical Norwegian tunnels that have no lights and water dripping from the ceiling.

The waterfall is best in late spring and early summer when snowmelt feeds it. By late summer the flow can thin out considerably.

Weather Tip

Best flow during spring snowmelt (May-June). Reduced in late summer.
