Eiane Gard is a cider farm on the north shore of Jøsenfjorden, right along the National Tourist Route Ryfylke. Jon Eiane Brandal and his French partner Elodie Maison Eiane grow 4,000 apple trees on a sunny slope overlooking the fjord, producing craft cider, apple juice, and honey. They are relatively new producers, but their rise has been rapid: their honey-infused sparkling cider Brist won Gold at CiderWorld in Frankfurt in 2022, and in 2024 it was named Supreme Champion at the International Cider Challenge, the overall best cider out of 180 entries from over 20 countries.
Their ice cider Elodie, named after its creator, took Gold in the dessert category at CiderWorld 2026. Ice cider is made by freeze-concentrating the apple juice before fermentation, a technique that requires five kilograms of apples for a single 37.5 cl bottle. The result is a rich, amber dessert wine with flavours of caramel and cherry.
The farm shop at La Petite Pomme is open Thursday to Saturday in season, with guided orchard tours and cider tastings for groups. Eiane Gard is certified by Norsk Økoturisme.
