A 60-metre stone slab bridge with 21 arched water runs, Terland Klopp crosses the river Gyaåna in Gyadalen valley, about 15 kilometres from Egersund along road 42. It was built around 1800 and is considered the longest and best-preserved bridge of its kind in the Nordic region. The architect was Hans Linstow, better known for designing the Royal Palace and Karl Johans gate in Oslo: the fact that the same man drew up a palace for the king and a slab bridge over a river in Dalane says something about how seriously early 19th-century Norway took its road infrastructure. The bridge was restored and granted protected heritage status by Riksantikvaren in 2008. You can walk or cycle across it, and it is part of the Magma UNESCO Global Geopark.
