Skaugum is the private residence of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. You'll spot this country estate just outside Oslo, but don't expect to get close. The property is guarded by the King's Guard, and there's no public access whatsoever. The estate has been connected to Norway's royal family for decades.
Unfortunately, this is very much a drive-by experience only. You might catch a glimpse of the buildings through the trees, but the guards take security seriously here. It's more of a curiosity than a proper tourist stop, really.
