Nore og Uvdal Bygdetun

45 minutes
Nore og Uvdal Bygdetun is an open-air museum right next to Uvdal stave church, on the old vicarage grounds in Kirkebygda. Historical buildings from various locations in the municipality have been relocated here, giving a picture of how people lived in upper Numedal over the centuries.

The collection includes farmhouses, storehouses, and outbuildings, several of them medieval or early modern. The old schoolhouse has been turned into a small cafe. Combined with the adjacent stave church, the whole area makes for a pleasant hour of walking around.

A single ticket covers both the stave church and the bygdetun, around 130 kroner for adults. Children enter free. Open daily from June to August, 10:00 to 18:00.
