Honganvikfossen is a 155-metre waterfall that appears to hang suspended above the Saudafjord. Locals call it Brudesløret, the Bridal Veil, a name shared by several tall waterfalls across Norway.
The falls are fed by meltwater from several mountain lakes on the western side of the fjord. Spring and autumn are the best times to see it, when the water flow is at its strongest. In dry summer periods it can be quite thin.
There is a turnoff to the foot of the falls just before the road enters the Honganviktunnel. The old road along the fjord also passes by, making it accessible on foot or by bicycle.
