Haukeli
🚦 Crossroad Telemark Mountain

Haukeli

Haukeli is a small mountain village in Vinje municipality at the eastern foot of the Haukelifjell on the E134. It was called Haukeligrend until 1999, when the original name was restored.

This is the last inhabited place before the road climbs into the mountains toward Haukeliseter and Røldal on the western side. There is a petrol station and a few houses. In winter, check road conditions on yr.no before heading over the pass; the Haukelifjell is frequently closed or requires chains.
