Hamar Carillon (Klokkespillet)

30 minutes
Standing in the lake just off Skibladnerbrygga is a rather unusual sight - a bell tower rising from the water. This carillon was a gift for Hamar's 150th anniversary in 1998, but disagreements about funding and location meant it wasn't installed until 2004. It has 24 bells and plays different melodies every hour from 9am to 9pm. Listen for Norwegian folk songs and children's tunes. On 17th May, the repertoire switches to patriotic songs.
