Elvarheim Museum in Åmli is dedicated to the forest and its creatures. Housed in the old community hall from 1925, the museum displays all four large Scandinavian predators, bear, wolf, wolverine, and lynx, alongside smaller predators, birds, and a large beaver exhibition.
The collection pays tribute to local trapper Aslak Harstveit and the hunting traditions of the inland valleys. Open in summer, closed Mondays.
