Dosabu is a storm watching cabin on the western edge of Frøya island, west of Kalvåg in Bremanger. Carefully placed on the rocky terrain overlooking the open North Sea, it lets you experience the full force of coastal weather from behind glass, without getting soaked.
The cabin is part of the "storm watching" (stormjakt) concept that has become popular along western Norway's most exposed coastlines. It is open to everyone at all times, free of charge, but is not intended for overnight stays.
The walk from Nesje is about 3 kilometres and takes roughly an hour. Bremanger is a stronghold for sea eagles, and the chances of spotting one from the cabin or along the trail are good. In stormy weather, the view of waves crashing against the outer skerries is spectacular.
