Bragernes Church is the most prominent landmark in Drammen's skyline. Built in 1871 in neo-Gothic style after the previous church burned down, it sits at the top of Bragernes torg and anchors the city's historic axis running from the square down toward Marienlyst. The church was designed by architect Hanno and seats around 1,000 people, making it one of the larger churches in the region.
Beyond regular services, the church has become a popular concert venue. Its annual Adventsfestival before Christmas draws visitors from across the area, filling the nave with choral and orchestral performances in the weeks leading up to the holiday.
