Vidfoss is one of the larger waterfalls in Oddadalen, dropping around 320 metres down the western valley wall. What makes it distinctive is its shape. The water fans out midway down, spreading like an off-centred broom before gathering again towards the bottom.
Like other waterfalls on this side of the valley, it is fed by meltwater from the Folgefonna glacier. Flow varies through the summer, strongest in June after warm weather or heavy rain.
There is no dedicated parking or hiking trail here. You can see the waterfall from the road, but stopping is not easy.
