Ulvesund fyr near Måløy is one of four lighthouses guiding ships safely around Stad, one of the roughest sea passages along the Norwegian coast. The white cylindrical tower was first lit in 1870 and automated in 1985. After restoration in 2003, the lighthouse reopened as a cafe, gift shop and guesthouse where visitors can stay overnight.
