Tour de Dovre is a 115 km cycling loop through three national parks: Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella, Rondane, and Dovre. The route runs from Dombås to Hjerkinn, through Folldalen and Grimsdalen, then back to Dovre and Dombås. The highlight is the 32 km gravel cycle path between Dombås and Hjerkinn, opened in September 2017 and completely free of motorised traffic. It climbs for the first 5 to 6 km out of Dombås, then flattens across open moorland with wide views of rounded peaks and high plains.

Most of the loop is on gravel roads, with some stretches on asphalt. The full circuit takes most people three to four days at a comfortable pace, with overnight stays at mountain farms and lodges along the way. Grimsdalen has working summer farms that serve food and offer beds. The route passes through Fokstumyra nature reserve, one of Norway's most important wetlands for nesting birds, and connects to side trips including the Snøhetta viewpoint and musk ox safari territory. Bikes can be rented in Dombås, and both endpoints have train stations, so logistics are straightforward.
