Stø is a small fishing village at the northern tip of Langøya in Vesterålen. It is the most common starting point for Dronningsruta, the Queen's Route to Nyksund. A bus from Sortland stops here, which makes it possible to do Dronningsruta as a one-way hike without needing two cars.
There is a campsite at the end of the road where motorhomes must park. A few parking spaces are available in the village. Stø itself is a quiet place with little in the way of services, but its position on the open coast gives it dramatic views toward the ocean. The trailhead for Dronningsruta is marked with a small sign at the main road.
