Oslo Børs

10 minutes
Oslo Børs, the Stock Exchange, is a neoclassical building at Tollbugata in Kvadraturen. It was designed by architect Christian H. Grosch and completed in 1828, making it one of the oldest monumental buildings in Oslo. Grosch also designed the original University buildings and the old Bank of Norway, and was the dominant architect of early nineteenth-century Christiania. The Stock Exchange was extended in 1910.

The small park in front of the building, Børsparken, was planted in the early 1800s and is considered Oslo's first public park. Today all trading at Oslo Børs is electronic, so the building no longer contains a trading floor. It functions as an office building. You cannot go inside, but the facade and the little park are a pleasant stop when walking through Kvadraturen.
