Orrestranda stretches nearly five kilometres along the Jæren coast, making it Norway's longest sandy beach. The sand is fine and light, the beach has Blue Flag certification, and the dunes behind it shelter rare plant species and birdlife within the Jærstrendene protected area. Swimming, surfing, and long walks along the waterline are the main draws. The beach is part of the Norwegian Scenic Route Jæren.
