Kolsåstoppen is a popular hiking peak in Bærum, just outside Oslo. What makes this place special is how easily you can reach it. You can take the T-bane or bus right to the trailhead, which is rare for mountain hikes in Norway.
The walk to the top takes about 45 minutes through pleasant forest paths. From the summit, you get excellent views over the Oslo fjord and the city. On clear days, you can see far across the water.
Be aware that this trail gets very busy, especially on weekends. The paths can be muddy after rain, so proper hiking boots help. It's become quite the Instagram spot, unfortunately.
