Kilden opened in 2012 on the waterfront at Odderøya, designed by Finnish firm ALA Architects. Its striking wavy oak facade has become a Kristiansand landmark. Inside are a 1,170-seat concert hall with acclaimed acoustics, a 708-seat theatre and opera hall, and two smaller stages. It houses the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and serves as the main venue for theatre, opera, and concerts in Southern Norway. It sits next to Kunstsilo, forming the city's cultural waterfront.
