This 200-metre canal in Høvåg reopened an old sea route connecting Blindleia to Kirkekilen via Kvanneidfjorden. It was officially opened in 1995 by the Minister for the Environment. On a rock shelf above the canal sits a sculpture of Kassetassen, the troll character from Gabriel Scott's stories, keeping watch over passing boats.
