Høydalsmo

15 minutes
Høydalsmo is a small village in Tokke municipality, sitting along the north shore of lake Oftevant. It is the administrative centre of the municipality and a crossroad in Vest-Telemark.

The village itself is small and quiet. Høydalsmo church dates from 1785, built to replace a medieval stave church that stood on the same site. The village hosted the Norwegian cross-country skiing championships in 2002.

The main reason to come through here is that Høydalsmo sits at the junction between the road to Dalen and the road north towards Rauland and the E134. Eidsborg stave church and the Vest-Telemark Museum are just a few kilometres south.
