Festvågtinden rises 541 metres directly above Henningsvær, and the summit view looking straight down onto the fishing village and its surrounding islands is one of the most photographed perspectives in Lofoten. The trail starts from the car park along Festværvegen and climbs steadily through rocky terrain, with some steeper sections near the top requiring hands for scrambling.

On clear summer evenings the summit is a popular midnight sun destination, with the light painting Henningsvær's harbour and the surrounding peaks in warm colours. With over 28,000 recorded ascents in a single year this is one of Lofoten's busiest trails, so early starts or late-evening visits help avoid the crowds. Allow two to three hours for the round trip.
