Eikedalen Skisenter

180 minutes
The ski lifts here are Eikedalen Skisenter, the larger of the two alpine resorts serving Bergen. It opened in 1982 and has 15 kilometres of slopes across 12 runs, with 8 lifts including a chairlift that's 1,800 metres long - the 10th longest in Northern Europe.

The highest point reaches 918 metres at Grøtet. On a good day they can handle around 3,000 skiers.
Eikedalen is technically in Samnanger municipality, not Kvam, which is why it never merged with Furedalen, the other ski centre on this plateau. Different municipalities, different owners, different histories. They've been friendly competitors since the 1980s.
