Brudesløret, the Bridal Veil, is a waterfall you pass on the northern side of the fjord after the Seven Sisters. It drops roughly 300 metres straight into the water. The name comes from its appearance: when the flow is light, it looks like a thin translucent veil hanging down the cliff face.
It is at its best during the snowmelt season from May to July. Later in summer, when there has been little rain, it can be barely visible. The drainage area above is very small, so unlike its neighbours, it depends entirely on recent weather to put on a show.
