You're now entering Åsane, Bergen's largest suburb by population. Until the 1960s this was farmland. Then the highways came, and it became what you see now - shopping centres, car parks, and housing estates.
If you need to stock up on supplies before Bergen city centre, this is your last chance. There's a huge IKEA, two large shopping malls, and all the usual supermarkets. The Åsane Storsenter has over 150 shops.
But honestly, there's nothing here for tourists. Just suburban sprawl.
