The Vestfold Kyststi is a network of signposted coastal paths that follow the shoreline through much of Vestfold, from Stavern in the south to Horten and Åsgårdstrand in the north. The paths run right along the water, over smooth rock slabs, through patches of coastal forest, past bathing spots and old fishing hamlets. Individual sections vary from easy strolls of an hour or two to full-day walks.
Highlights include the stretch from Horten to Åsgårdstrand, which keeps the fjord in view almost the entire way, and the trails on Vesterøya and Østerøya in Sandefjord. The paths are well marked and suitable for most fitness levels. Summer is the obvious season, but the trails are walkable year-round.
