Not to be confused with its more famous namesake in Rjukan, this Rjukanfossen in the upper Tovdal valley is the highest waterfall in Agder county. The water drops 45 metres into a gorge, throwing up a cloud of spray that gave it the same name: the Smoking Falls.
A marked trail of about 3 kilometres starts at the information board in Dale, at the top of the valley. The path follows the river through forest and is suitable for most walkers.
