The Porselensmuseet in Porsgrunn sits next to Norway's only porcelain factory, which has been in operation since 1887. The museum displays over 1,000 objects tracing the evolution from the first firing to the iconic Stråmønster pattern still hand-painted today. Visitors can watch artisans at work and, in the family workshop, children can decorate their own piece to take home. The adjacent auction hall sells vintage porcelain.
