Horseid beach is the most remote and least visited of Lofoten's three famous hidden beaches, tucked behind the mountains on Moskenesøya's outer coast. Reaching it requires a ferry from Reine to the tiny settlement of Vindstad, followed by a roughly one-and-a-half-hour hike through a mountain pass.

The reward is a sweeping arc of pale sand backed by steep peaks, with far fewer visitors than neighbouring Kvalvika or Bunes beaches. The extra effort needed to get here keeps the crowds away even in high summer. The trail from Vindstad crosses boggy ground and rocky terrain with some elevation gain, so proper hiking boots are essential. Plan for a full half-day including the ferry connections.
