Hordamuseet is an open-air folk museum in Fana, south of Bergen, showcasing rural life in the Hordaland region from the Middle Ages through the 1900s. The museum grounds hold around 30 historic buildings relocated from farms across the district, including storehouses, a smithy and a schoolhouse, arranged along gravel paths in a coastal landscape overlooking the Nordåsvannet lake. A separate boathouse collection preserves 26 traditional wooden boats spanning several centuries of coastal boatbuilding. Indoor exhibitions cover folk art, textiles and domestic crafts, while the grounds host seasonal events including a popular Christmas market. The museum is part of Museumssenteret i Hordaland and sits on a scenic headland that doubles as a pleasant park for a walk even outside exhibition hours.
