Høllesli is one of the designated viewpoints along the Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke. It's located between the Lysefjord Bridge and the Høllesli Tunnel, with a car park right by the road.

From here you get a dramatic view into the Lysefjord. A short path takes you through a rock-cut passage out towards the edge, with guardrails to keep you safe. The viewpoint is partially accessible for wheelchairs.

Høllesli and the neighbouring settlement of Havn have been combination farms for centuries, with people making a living from both agriculture and fishing on these steep slopes. The area was quite isolated until 1984, when a road finally connected it to Oanes. In 1994, the road was extended over Botsheia to Jørpeland.

In recent years, luxury cabins have been built on the mountainside here, offering dramatic views over the fjord. The Bolder Lodges are among the newer additions. If you're feeling adventurous, a demanding hiking trail runs from Høllesliheia along the fjord towards Preikestolen Basecamp, passing through gorges and past dramatic viewpoints including Skjerajuvet and Fantahålå.
