Fresvikbreen is a 15 square kilometre glacier on the south side of the Sognefjord, tucked between Setjedalen to the west and Storedalen to the east. Its highest point reaches 1,648 metres above sea level, making it the 23rd largest glacier on the Norwegian mainland. It lies above the village of Fresvik.
It is possible to walk on the glacier, but only with a local guide. The approach is not technically difficult, but the length and vertical gain make it a demanding day. Driving up the Jordalen valley by car in summer (or snowmobile in winter) shortens the trip considerably. From the Øvstedalen cabins, the glacier is within relatively easy reach.
